Dr. Pfeffer will prepare and analyze data from all waves of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) to assess cohort trends in socio-economic inequalities in educational attainment. He will estimate the effects of parents? wealth, income, occupation, and education on their children?s educational attainment at ages 20 and 25. He will prepare a manuscript based on this work that will be submitted for publication in a social science journal.
