This research program continues a long standing relationship with the Federal Reserve Board. The research will focus on various aspects of how households manage their financial assets and debts. The topics will range from consumers’ perceptions of the comparative risks involved with various financial instruments, the impact of changes in wealth holdings on current spending, to the use of credit card, installment, home equity, and other types of debts, and the extent to which debt burdens have become problematic for households.
