This revised request for competing revision to the Health and Retirement Study (NIA U01AG009740) Minority Sample Expansion will increase the number of African-American and Hispanic participants in the Early Baby Boom and Mid-Boomer cohorts of the HRS (birthyears 1948-59). It will also add a smaller number of non-minority households in the same cohorts from the same neighborhoods. Specifically, it will conduct a population screen to identify eligible households based on age, race, and ethnicity. It will also support 2011 mail surveys of these new respondents.
