Dr. Pfeffer and his collaborator at Stockholm University, Dr. Martin Hallsten, have begun to investigate the relationship between parental wealth and children?s educational and occupational outcomes in Sweden. Having found strong intergenerational wealth effects in their initial analyses of existing register data, this grant covers the data acquisition and effort needed to extend these analyses based on additional data. Updated register data on wealth as well as their linkage to existing surveys will allow the investigators to analyze the relationship between different wealth components and children?s outcomes in more depth and for more recent cohorts.
