Remediating Academic and Non-Academic Skills Deficit Among Disadvantaged Youth

The purpose of this study is to complete in-person interviews with approximately 1,127 male students aged 12-18 from pre-selected Chicago Public Schools. Between 2,500 and 3,000 respondents will have been pre-sampled prior to ISR involvement as part of the larger umbrella study, which will serve as the sampling frame for the survey. Approximately 1,700 respondents will be selected for inclusion in the survey sample. Students will be asked to complete approximately 45-minutes of self-administered achievement testing in addition to participating in a 60-minute in-person interview with an interviewer.
