For the Survey of U.S. Middle School Mathematics Teachers and Teaching, SRO will work with the Principal Investigator to recruit approximately 400 public school districts which will each permit us contact two schools on average for participation. SRO will then work with the Principal Investigator to recruit approximately 667 selected schools from those consenting districts to allow us to list, sample and recruit approximately 800 6th-8th grade teachers to complete a self-administered questionnaire (the Mathematical Knowledge for Teachers or MKT). All participating teachers would be invited to also complete video recordings of classroom interactions (the Mathematical Quality of Instruction or MQI).
