The multifaceted field of environment-behavior research explores the relationship between people and their surroundings. The collective disciplines that contribute to environment-behavior research are quite numerous. The editors have gathered a number of selected authors and works into this book in an effort to reflect this diversity. Contributors to the book explore environmental behavior by examining theories of design, culture, and history; by using ecological frameworks; and by determining the dynamics and aesthetics of places. The editors suggest that collecting the wealth of environment-behavior research into one book will help researchers push the field beyond its current boundaries. Clifford R. Marsh
