Joelle Abramowitz comments on how an abortion ban could impact Michiganders
The U.S. Supreme Court appears to be poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, which will restrict or eliminate access to abortion in 26 states, including Michigan. The restriction of access is likely to have steep economic costs. Joelle Abramowitz says, “For people who have unwanted pregnancies, they have worse economic outcomes. And we can think about if someone has a worse economic situation and now they have a child, that child is also going to experience that worse economic situation as well.”
