Ken Langa comments on a study finding more evidence that education may protect against dementia

A new study in Neurology finds that education and language skills can help predict who will go on to develop dementia and who won’t. In U.S. News & World Report, Ken Langa called this study “interesting and well-done.” He continues, “The fact that a significant number of individuals with MCI will not go on to dementia, even in the absence of any treatment, increases the risk for overdiagnosis and potential overtreatment among those with MCI.”
