Langa et al. Find Widening Gaps in Seniors’ Health
Kenneth M. Langa et al. examine the trends of healthy older adults in a Research Letter in JAMA Internal Medicine. They find the number of healthy older adults increased between 2000 and 2014, but the trend differed significanly by race/ethnicity, education, and income.
Davis and Langa published an opinion piece in The Conversation, Rich American seniors are getting healthier, leaving the poor behind. The study has also been covered in several news outlets, including MinnPost and The Atlantic.
