Shaefer’s work on extreme poverty cited in Washington Post
Luke Shaefer’s work with Kathryn Edin was cited in a Washington Post article about Bernie Sander’s position on the 1996 welfare reform law. They found that the law were a boon for the working poor but the numbers of households living in extreme poverty has roughly doubled.
