Narayan Sastry’s 2014 article, The location of displaced New Orleans residents in the year after Hurricane Katrina, was cited in a recent article in Wired about the monumental task of rebuilding Houston. Regarding New Orleans residents displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Sastry wrote, “'Most of the displaced adults likely faced considerable economic and institutional barriers in being able to move back to the city, such as the lack of affordable rental housing.”
