This long running study of American adolescents and young adults reports on the first-ever U.S. standard estimates for vaping of nicotine, marijuana, and flavoring, as well as marijuana use, the decline in use of cigarettes and other tobacco products, and alcohol, inhalants, and heroin/opioid use.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse press release focused on the results showing reduced opioid misuse and increase in the popularity of vaping among youth.
