Adaptive Interventions for Minimally Verbal Children with ASD in the Community

Under this subcontract, U-M personnel, Drs. Daniel Almirall and Susan Murphy, as well as a post-doctoral investigator TBD, will be responsible for all methodological aspects of the proposed study, participate in all scientific aspects of the project and oversee all training/educational activities to take place at U-M. Drs. Almirall and Murphy will assist with further refinements of the SMART design as needed during the initial phases of the study. Dr. Almirall will be responsible for developing the data analysis plan and directing all primary and secondary analyses. He will provide direction and consultation to the Master?s level statistician/analyst at the UCLA site. All U-M personnel will maintain close collaboration with Dr. Connie Kasari and other project team members at UCLA, including Dr. Sugar at the Data Coordinating Center, through weekly phone meetings, ongoing email correspondence and annual site visits (U-M personnel will visit UCLA in Years 1, 3 and 5; and UCLA personnel will visit U-M in Years 2 and 4).
