Promoting the implementation of clinical guidelines for opioid prescribing in primary care using systems consultation

Under this subcontract, UM personnel, Dr. Daniel Almirall will be responsible for all methodological aspects of the proposed study, he will participate in all scientific components of the project, and oversee the post-doctoral fellow at the Michigan site. Specifically, Dr. Almirall will assist with further refinements of the SMART design, if needed, during the initial phases of the study. Dr. Almirall will be responsible for developing a pre-specified data analysis plan for all primary and secondary aims and for developing new methods for the design and analysis of Cluster-Randomized SMARTs. UM personnel will maintain close collaboration with Dr. Quanbeck at the University of Wisconsin and other project team members, through semi-monthly phone meetings, ongoing email correspondence, site visits and meetings during conference attendance.
