The Promise of a School-Based, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Intervention for Young Women in Chicago: Follow Up – Arnold Funding

The Promise of a School-Based, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Intervention for Young Women in Chicago: Follow Up project will examine a range of outcomes among young women who participated in the Working on Womanhood school-based program. The proposed data collection will implement outreach to the approximately 2000 program participants, collect parental consent for participants who are not yet 18 years of age, and complete approximately 1,500 interviews. We estimate that by April 2020, approximately 57% of the 2018 cohort will be 18 years of age or older and will not require parental consent. The interviews will be conducted in group settings within Chicago area schools, at the respondent?s home or other mutually-acceptable location, or will be accessed via web for self-administration. This is one of two proposals being submitted as part of an overall multiple-funder budget to complete the full work scope as described here.
