Writing for Psychology Today, Daniel Keating says that adolescent sadness, hopelessness, and suicidality have increased at an alarming rate over the last decade: “This follows a long-standing trend showing that we have been creating a world in which stressors of all kinds are reaching crisis levels, with the reality of a stress pandemic having already arrived for adolescents rather than merely predicted.”
