In collaboration with MDRC, a nonprofit research organization in New York City, SRC will conduct an independent impact, implementation, and cost evaluation of the Reading Partners Connect program, a virtual, volunteer tutoring program for struggling readers, using a student-level randomized control trial. The evaluation will estimate the impacts of Reading Partners Connect on the key components of reading (decoding, fluency, and reading comprehension), will examine the implementation and costs of the virtual volunteer tutoring program, and will provide guidance on scaling the program with fidelity to other schools.
