Associate Director Survey Research Operations
Biography
Nicole Kirgis is an Associate Director in the Survey Research Operations (SRO) unit of the Survey Research Center. She has 30 years of experience in all phases of survey research. In her current role, Ms. Kirgis directs day-to-day operations of SRO. Since joining U-M in 1998, she has also led data collection activities for many projects such as the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG). In addition, she provides consultation and training on data collection operations and management to international researchers. Prior to her work at U-M, Ms. Kirgis worked at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago and at the Office of Survey Research at Michigan State University. Ms. Kirgis has a B.A. in social relations from Michigan State University and has completed work towards a master’s degree in the Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Michigan.
